FA07 - Life Skills - Emergency First Aid for Children & Students - 3 hour course

Children of all ages should learn first aid.

We have developed this course for schools and youth groups wishing to provide this very important life skill for their chidren. By enabling your children to learn first aid you will be equipping them with the confidence and skills to potentially save a life.
All our tutors have extensive first aid knowledge, experience working with young people, and have a valid DBS check.

Course Description

The practical nature of first aid training means that this course is always a big hit with children.

Every child attending this course will be awarded a 'Life Skills - Emergency First Aid for Children & Students' certificate of attendance listing the subjects covered.

This 3 hour course covers:
  • Bleeding/Bandaging
  • Calling 999
  • Choking
  • CPR
  • Primary Survey
  • Recovery Position

The immediate care given to a person who has been injured, or who has become ill, prior to the arrival of qualified medically trained assistance. The main aims of first aid are to:

  • Preserve life
  • Prevent the Condition from Worsening
  • Promote Recovery

 

 

Our tutors will come to your school or youth club to deliver this course. You will need to provide a space large enough to seat everyone and with enough room for them to practise rolling each other into the recovery position without bumping into furniture or each other!

 

 

This course is for children/students from yr 5 to yr 13.

The course runs for 3 hours (usually 1 hour before break then 2 hours between break and lunch time at school or during the evening/weekend for youth groups)
