Working with ELCAS
The scheme provides financial support in the form of a single up-front payment in each of a maximum of three separate financial years. ELC funding is only available for pursuit of higher level learning i.e. for courses that result in a nationally recognised qualification at Level three or above on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) (England, Northern Ireland and Wales), a Level six or above on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) or, if pursued overseas, an approved international equivalent qualification with an approved learning provider.
We work very closely with the ELC to ensure Military Service Leavers or in fact, existing serving personnel who are thinking of leaving, have the right transferable skills and obtain new skills to enable them to successfully carve out a career in the less structured civilian environment.
As part of the scheme, we offer a variety of different courses which can enable a military leaver to start their new career outside of the military quickly and effectively. Our most popular funded courses are:
The Level 3 Certificate in Close Protection Operations which is an 17 day intensive course covering all aspects of close protection and includes Level 3 accredited First Aid and Defibrillation as standard.
Level 3 Certificate for Enforcement Agents (Bailiffs) Taking Control of Goods Course with Court Certification which is a 5 day course and provides skilled military leavers with the opportunity, if they pass, to join our sister Company Absolute Enforcement.
Here is a full list of all our courses available through the ELC Scheme. If you would like any further information, please give us a call or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our Managing Director, Chris Lucas-Jones often writes about ELCAS funding and how to utilise your skills gained within a military career to successfully work in a civilian role. Read more here or find out what it is like to be an Enforcement Officer here.
